June 2013: The common hawthorn [Crataegus monogyna] (Eingriffliger Weissdorn) is in full bloom now. This is about half a month later than 2012. The woodland hawthorn [Crataegus laevigata] (Zweigriffliger Weissdorn), also called mayflower, is used as medicinal plant.
