August 2015: While the blue whales [Balaenoptera musculus] didn't show up yet in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and presumably were still migrating along unknown routes, we could observe many minke whales. This northern minke whale [Balaenoptera acutorostrata] (Nördlicher Zwergwal) came up to breath very closely to our boat for several times before diving again for some minutes.
