Blueberry [Vaccinium myrtillus] (Heidelbeere): Surprisingly we experienced an early start of winter in the Bernese Oberland: After a rainy weekend with cold winds from east ("Bise") we had fresh snow down to less than 2000 m asl. The red blueberry leaves contrasted wonderfully with the white of the fresh snow. We still found many very sweet berries. As this was the second day after the snowfall we already found snow transformed into ice crystals on the leaves. More early winter pictures in my gallery2!
