February 2017: This picture shows water and ice, but for me it contains much more, an exciting story: A cold spell in January showed us how winter would be. This is not a pond or lake - many of them had frozen up already at that time - but our river Thur that starts to freeze up! I can't remember having ever observed ice floes coming down this river. If the cold had continued one or two weeks the river would probably have frozen up completely. More winter pictures: see Gallery2 > January 2017.
