December 2019: Hair ice (Haareis) Air temperature was for the first time after summer just around zero at our weather station this afternoon (we already had some nights with frost, but the afternoons were always clearly above zero). As normally it is a little bit warmer inside the forest I didn't really expect to find some hair ice already. But I saw something bright and went closer: it was hair ice!
