As I had to cut the wild rose and the gall couldn't survive, I opened the gall caused by a diplolepis rosae (Rosengallwespe). As you can see it is woody inside and divided into several cells with maggots inside. It's amazing how these insects can make the rose grow different and take advantage of it.
