Bottom side of an oak leaf: these galls are probably induced by an oak gall wasp as the Neuroterus quercusbaccarum. This species seems to have an alternation of generations: In spring only female insects come out of lensoid galls and induce globular galls out of which come male and female insects. This generation induces lensoid galls again.
