I photographed this tick with my microscope. They have eight legs and therefore don't belong to the insects but to the mites. As long as they don't suck I remove them at home with an adhesive tape as they are difficult to crush because they are so flat. I catch them within two layers of adhesive tape as they belong to the very few animals I really don't want to live in my garden.
