Changes in the last month: Arctic: The last sea ice in the Hudson Bay has melted, and the passage between Bering Street and Victoria Island is almost ice-free. Nowaja Semlja is also clear of ice, and east of the Taimyr peninsula, in the Leptew Sea, forms a big iceless area whereas west of the Taimyr peninsula is still a barrier of ice. On Greenlands north eastern coast we observe also a big ice-free area. The islands north of Canada are still surrounded by ice. Antarctica: The sea ice around Antarctica is still growing.
