2013-2014 compare: Arctic: Although Svalbard was ice-free in 2013, there was much more sea ice touching the Siberian coastline in 2013. Snow: less patchy in 2013 but more to the South in inner Asia and more in the Alps this year.
Antarctica: No obvious difference.
