Changes in the last month: Arctic: The Polar Sea is frozen now and connects Siberia, Alaska, Canadian Islands, Greenland, Svalbard and Nowaja Semlja. The Bering street is still widely open as are parts of the Hudson Bay. The snow line moved to the south around the pole, but Europe is still mostly free of snow, except the eastern part.
Antarctica: The sea ice has retreated a lot, the edge gets tattered, the ice area holey and patchy. There are several big holes that open from the coast - why?
