World Wide Snow and Ice Cover Map: December 31st, 2014: There is still astonishing much sea ice around Antarctica considering the maximum incidence angle of radiation. South America and New Zealand: no obvious difference. North America: less snow in the east but much more in the west (Rocky Mountains). The ocean is frozen completely now between Alaska and Asia, and so is the Hudson Bay. The sea ice advances south between northern Canada and Greenland. More snow in Scandinavia (south of Sweden and Finland) and Iceland. The snow line has slightly moved southward in Eurasia and westward in Europe. More snow in parts of Great Britain, Spain, Japan and even snow in parts of Greece. Little difference in the sea ice area north of Scandinavia.
