Changes in the last month: Arctic: The Bering street is frozen now and so is the Hudson Bay. More sea ice east of Baffin Island towards Greenland. North of Europe the sea ice didn't extend much: Svalbard is ice locked now at its northern shore. Some sea ice starts to build up around Kamchatka and north of Sakhalin in the Sea of Okhotsk and in the Gulf of Saint Laurent. The snow line again moved a bit to the south in Eurasia, but Europe is still mostly green, except the eastern part.
Antarctica: The sea ice has retreated again and is thinning out as expected in this time of Antarctic summer with 24 hours of daylight. The ice free area between the Ross Ice Shelf and the Ross Sea has grown.
