Changes in the last month: Arctic: Bering street: the ice has moved southward. More sea ice east of Baffin Island towards Greenland and at the east coast of Newfoundland. North of Europe: less ice around Svalbard, but more on the west side of Novaya Zemlya and over to the Kola peninsula. Most parts of the Baltic Sea are open water. More sea ice around Kamchatka and north of Sakhalin in the Sea of Okhotsk and in the Gulf of Saint Laurent. The snow line didn't move much; less snow in Europe, especially eastern Europe is still without snow blanket!
Antarctica: The sea ice has retreated a lot, especially in the Weddell Sea and in the Ross Sea - summer comes with a delay as winter in the northern hemisphere.
