World Wide Snow and Ice Cover Map: February 23rd, 2015: Again less sea ice around Antarctica (as expected, but lower decrease than before). South America and New Zealand: no obvious difference. North America: less snow in the southern, more in the northern Rocky Mountains and in eastern U.S. The sea ice still advanced southward from Alaska to eastern Siberia, between northern Canada and Greenland and between Greenland and Eurasia. Less snow in most parts of Europe. The snow line has moved northward in most parts of Asia. More snow only in the central and eastern part of north America. More sea ice around Svalbard and Kamchatka and in the Bering Sea.
