Glacier de la Plaine Morte (Switzerland's biggest plateau glacier): At the south-eastern end of the glacier a meltwater lake formed like in the years before. It contains more than 2'000'000m3 of meltwater and may become more and more a danger for the valley as it uses to empty in late August within a short time.
