The weather today has been overcast with some snow. At the time I took the photos it was not snowing but now, several hours later, it is. The temperature at the time I took the photo was 0F (-17.7C). The snowpack is 530 mm deep (and has perhaps accumulated another mm or 2 since I measured). The sun rose in Ester today at 754 am and will set at 614 pm for a total of 10 hours and 19 minutes of daylight. Solar noon was at 104 pm, about 2 hours after I took the photo. We are gaining a little more than 6 minutes of daylight each day, something to celebrate! I looked back at my notes from March of last year and saw that the accumulated snowpack was 596 mm deep. So we haven't had as much snow (yet) as last year but there is still quite a bit on the ground.
