We had quite a cold December as well. However, you would not know it from the
picture I took today. There was ice on the river from about Dec. 3 until Dec. 30.
Then, it warmed up to above 10 C for 2 days and rained. The ice melted and was
washed away. Ice still stayed on ponds and lakes where the water does not move. It
is cold again and we are expecting at least 10 more days of below freezing
temperatures.
