The weather has turned cold again since the end of December. The rivers are totally frozen. The Great Lakes are freezing up fast. This link shows that the lakes are about 50% ice covered. it was 38% yesterday. Lakes Superior and Huron are both ready to freeze over completely which hadn't happened for 40 years until last year. We had about 40 cm of snow Sunday and are getting another 10 cm tonight. The kids did not have school the last two days. These are some good winters.
