Our May was very wet and more cool and cloudy than usual. Everything is very green
though and
the grass is growing too fast and the flowers (lilacs, lilies of the valley, irises)
are beautiful. I do think
those of us that experience white/gray, cold, drab winter-appreciate the beauty of
spring much more.
Here is what I read in our
local newspaper about our
May weather: May's statewide (Minnesota) average temperature of 53.9 F was
1.9 degrees below normal. That was the sixth straight below-normal month.
