This is my February picture at Lake Marmo. The temperature was 50 degrees F (10 C) at 3:00. all the snow is melted on the sunny side of the lake and all the snow was melted off of the lake. I took this picture on palindrome day, 02-02-2020. Also Groundhog Day. I wish I had a picture from February 1, 2020 because everything was covered with snow. The lake has patches of water. The ice was never solid enough to walk on this winter.
Last year, I took my picture on February 2, 2019 and we it was the warmest day in quite a while. It was 43 F (6 C) when I took the picture. We had the Polar Vortex hit us with temperatures down to -23 F (-30.5 C) on January 29th and 30th.
We have had 30 CM of snow since January 20. We had 15 CM in one snow storm in November and no snow fell in December as we had a record warm December. That is what happened this winter, we did not have any snow in December.
