Weather in northern California continued to be unusual for June. A
record rain fell in the last two weeks of June. Having any rain at all
is unusual (rains usually stop by May at the latest, often earlier),
so to have over 2 cm of rain in June broke all records.
Temperatures, overall, continued to be cool. My tomato plants are just
now putting out fruit! Most of the United States is under extreme
heat and drought conditions, so I am not complaining. The weather is
affecting crops, livestock, and the economy, and the impact will be
far reaching.
