This picture shows apricots just starting to develop on the apricot tree. Orange California poppies, the state's official flower, are in bloom in the yard, along with California native plants Coyote Bush (Baccharis pilularis) and a ceanothus plant, a type of California lilac (the tall, wide plant with blue flowers in the back). Nearer to the patio, a rosemary plant (classification Rosmarinus) is blooming. This herb may be used for cooking all year long.
