The April picture shows that both the apricot tree and raspberry plants are leafing out. Green leaves may be seen on the brown stalks. The green plant in the front of the picture is a Shasta Daisy ( Leucanthemum superbum). This plant was developed over 17 years by botanist Luther Burbank. The daisy that is pictured grows well in our hot, dry summer climate and freely propagates.
