It has been very dry here in central North Carolina. We have only had about 6 cm of rain in the last month and a half. This is less than half of normal. Coupled with the dry, we have seen the temperature up to 35 C. We have needed to irrigate our garden, to keep the vegetables growing, but hopefully we will see some more regular precipitation Fortunately at the end of this past week we had 2.5 cm of rain and the temperature this weekend was much more pleasant in the lower 20s.
