I am envious of you when you say that autumn weather has arrived. It is still quite hot here. We certainly look forward to some cooler weather now that October is coming. Temperatures are forecast to be above 27 C each day this week.
In other news September was a notable weather month especially due to Hurricane Florence. We were right on the edge of the storm for 3 days. We had a total of 14.7 cm of rain in the three days and saw some minor flooding. None too close to my home, but one road that I take to school was closed for 2 days while engineers evaluated a bridge. There were several trees that were blown down in my neighborhood, but again we were spared the worst of the storm. Other parts of our state suffered quite badly from flooding with some areas getting close to 90 cm of rain. It is likely that some areas may never re-build.
