After a wet year we are now experiencing drought. We had less than 1cm of rain during the month of September. Now October is off to a very dry start.
In addition to the drought it has been extremely hot. We had several days in the mid-30s... Thursday hit 35 degrees. That broke the record for the day, and for the month of October. It also was the hottest day of the year. Never before since records have been kept, has the hottest day of the year been in October.
We are hoping for cooler weather and rain soon.
