The weather continues to be hot and we have had hardly any rain this summer. We
recently had to evacuate due to a wildfire nearby (about 1 mile away) There is a
lot of smoke and ground is full of embers (pine needles and leaves). The fireweed
is beginning to blossom and beautiful colors of fuchsia are emerging. Cannot wait
to go pick the blossom to make fireweed blossom jelly.
