We have had fairly warm and dry conditions in the Washington, D.C. Region during the month of October. As you can see, our grass is a little dry, but it isn’t too bad. We have had a few frosts, but not enough consistent cold weather to kill off the plants. The red and purple flowers are mums, which do very well in this area in the fall. We are also seeing the green leaves of my Shasta daisies and my Black-Eyed Susan plants. My lirope plants are beginning to turn brown at the ends.
