170312 A Swiss engineer decided to build an energy-self-sufficient house south of the Lake Neuchatel in Switzerland to proof that it’s possible with today’s technology. He used mainly natural materials from the region as clay, wood and straw. Of course he also needed some high tech equipment. There is no connection to the grid and no sewage hook-up. 170312 A historical event is drawing to a close: the Swiss Antarctic Circumnavigation Expedition. Thereby Switzerland enhances polar research.
